The Hong Kong Jockey Club has invested over HK$1.2 billion in building the venues of the 2008 Olympic & Paralympic Games equestrian events and supporting facilities including new stables with air-conditioned accommodation for over 200 horses.

As specified by the architect, Ronald Lu and Partners, Colt Universal Louvres were installed to ensure high performance of ventilation achieved while the rain entry is kept to a minimum.
